What is the Birth Flower Collection?

The Birth Flower Collection is a set of twelve ceramic wall flowers, one for each calendar month, representing the traditional birth flower for that month. Each flower is available in multiple glaze colours and comes with gift packaging. The collection is designed as a birthday, anniversary, or new baby gift. January is carnation, February is violet, March is daffodil, April is daisy, May is lily of the valley, June is rose, July is larkspur, August is poppy, September is aster, October is marigold, November is chrysanthemum, and December is narcissus.

What is the difference between the English Garden, France, Japan, and Coastal collections?

The English Garden Collection features roses, lotuses, and dahlias in pastel and earthy tones. The France Collection uses poppies and peonies in harvest and Mediterranean colours. The Japan Collection - sometimes called the Japandi Collection - uses muted, mineral glazes on asters, marigolds, and lisianthus. The Coastal Collection uses ivory, white, and sand tones on rose forms.

How long has Chive Studio been operating?

Chive Studio was founded in Toronto, Ontario, Canada in 2004 by Todd Newgren. The studio has designed ceramic wall flowers, plant pots, and vases for over two decades, designed in Toronto and made by hand. It is stocked in more than 200 institutions worldwide, including the Getty Museum, SFMOMA, the Art Institute of Chicago, and the Royal Ontario Museum.

Does Chive ship internationally?

Chive ships to more than 40 countries worldwide. Separate regional stores serve Canada (chive.ca), the United Kingdom and parts of Asia (chiveuk.com), and Europe (chiveceramics.com). The US store at chive.com ships internationally where a dedicated regional store is not available. International shipping is available at checkout.

Chive has exhibited at the RHS Chelsea Flower Show for thirteen consecutive years, receiving the 5-star booth award — the highest rating the RHS gives — every year we have attended. Member days May 18–19. Public days May 20–22. The booth is worth finding. So is everything else at Chelsea, but the booth in particular.

Philadelphia Flower Show

March 12–21, 2027 · Pennsylvania Convention Center, Philadelphia

The Philadelphia Flower Show is the largest indoor flower show in the world. Chive returned in 2026 after a thirteen-year absence, which felt significant to us and possibly to no one else. The 2027 show marks the Pennsylvania Horticultural Society's 200th anniversary.
