If a plant in that shop so much as sighs, Ryan has already noticed, already diagnosed it, and already started composing the intervention.

He did not choose the nickname "Plant Daddy." The plants did. He has made peace with it. He has opinions about your watering schedule that he will share whether or not you asked, and he is never, ever wrong about it, which is the most annoying kind of person to a fern's owner.
