Ceramic Artist & Studio Founder | Chive

Todd Newgren picked up ceramic work twenty-five years ago and never really put it down. Vases first, then pots, then flowers — these days it's mostly flowers, though ask him and he'll say that was never really the plan, just where he ended up. Chive's flowers are in the Getty Museum, the Art Institute of Chicago, SFMOMA, and something like 200 other places that, frankly, still surprise him.

He's shown up at the RHS Chelsea Flower Show every year since 2013 and never gone home without something to show for it — including two 5-star ratings, the highest RHS gives, and a 4-star as recently as this year. 2026 also brought Chive back to the Philadelphia Flower Show for the first time in a decade, this time showing off the new Shido Seeds collection.
