Build Your Floral Wall With These:

Designed to cluster naturally, like a wild garden. Choose a flower as your design anchor, then grow your custom floral wall with these companions:

A gift for sister works best when it carries specificity — not the gesture of any flower, but one that will be recognized as having been chosen rather than grabbed. The Jungle Green Tea Rose is a Chive Ceramics Studio design built on a form the tea rose has been quietly perfecting since before it occurred to anyone that green was an acceptable color for a rose — and it is, emphatically. Tea roses carry more petal layers than any standard rose and a silhouette with slightly more restraint, which makes them read as considered even when surrounded by things that aren't. No watering, no timing an order around the week's schedule — it ships gift-ready and holds the full bloom as long as the recipient wants it on display. Artisans shape these pieces by hand, and the jungle green glaze moves across the petal layers in a way that means no two pieces come out identical. McKee Botanical Garden in Vero Beach carries Chive ceramic wall flowers in its garden shop.

How to hang & display

Wall hanging

Works on drywall, plaster, or wood panelling. Drive a small screw at a slight upward angle, leaving the head proud of the wall. Slide the keyhole slot on the back over the screw head, adjust to level. Sits flush — no visible hardware.

No stud? No problem. A drywall anchor rated for the weight works fine.

Displaying a collection

Lay everything out on the floor first. Start with your anchor piece, build outward. Keep 2–3 inches between each piece and aim for the centre of the whole arrangement to land around eye level. Use painter's tape on the wall to map positions before committing to any screws.

Table & shelf display: Equally beautiful propped on a shelf, mantle, or side table. Pair with books, candles, or a small pot.

More Petals Than Anyone Asked For

The tea rose is the rose that has read more books than you. Not more than everyone. Specifically more than you. It knows which ones. It is not going to bring it up.

I encountered the jungle green variety at a flower market in Tokyo at six in the morning, jet-lagged to the point of losing track of which decade I was in. It is a city of such quantity of correct decisions that it metabolizes your sense of self within forty-eight hours and leaves you standing in a flower market at dawn holding a jungle green tea rose trying to remember if you have always been this person or if this is new.

The tea rose has more petal layers than any standard rose and a silhouette with slightly more restraint, which makes it read as considered even when surrounded by things that aren't. The jungle green on this piece has made additional decisions since the jungle — it has been somewhere, thought about things, and landed at a color that reads as impossible and somehow is, with a calm that suggests it knew.

Ceramic was the answer because the flower market is far away and six in the morning is not reliably available. The wall is.

Part of the English Garden Collection

The English Garden collection borrows its chaos from cottage beds never pruned into submission — rambling roses, over-full peonies, zinnias that stayed uninvited. Every piece trades one fussy bloom for an overgrown afternoon. The Jungle Green Tea Rose layers more petals than any other rose here, deepening toward the center as the layers compress.

Two Ways to Display

Every Chive ceramic flower works two ways: mounted vertically as part of a gallery wall that grows one piece at a time, or laid flat across an entryway console or shelf as a tablescape that never needs the water changed. The keyhole on the back handles the wall version; the base handles the surface version. Most people start with one flower and end up needing both configurations before they admit it.

Complete the Look

The Thimble hanging planter is what happens when the small plant stops being an afterthought and gets a vessel that takes it seriously. The Thimble hangs, which means the trailing plant finally has somewhere to go, and the form is small enough to keep in any room without a commitment. The jungle green on the wall, the Thimble below it doing something living and vertical — the two objects together suggest someone with a point of view about what a corner should do.

A Green That Deepens on Purpose

The design process at Chive Ceramics Studio has always begun with the actual flower — not a photograph, not a botanical illustration, but the physical form, purchased from wherever it can be found, taken apart to understand how it holds its shape and where the structure is, then rebuilt in ceramic petal by petal. The tea rose in particular required this approach more than most forms: the layering is dense enough that working from reference alone produces an approximation rather than the real thing.

The studio has operated on research-based design since 2004 — visiting flower markets the way other studios visit trade shows, because the flower is the brief. The jungle green glaze was developed specifically for this collection's deep-color range, and every piece in the tea rose line is shaped by hand with the same petal-sequencing process the studio has used since it was founded.

Frequently asked questions

Does this Jungle Green Tea Rose need special hardware?

The Jungle Green Tea Rose hangs with a single standard screw in drywall — no special hardware, no anchors, no mounting system beyond what you already own. The keyhole slot on the back is sized for a standard picture-hanging screw and installation takes approximately ninety seconds. Works equally well on a shelf or surface without mounting at all. Ships with a guide card.

What is a thoughtful gift idea for a sister?

A gift for sister that carries some consideration is one that reads as chosen rather than browsed — the jungle green tea rose is not a color that arrives by default, and the tea rose form is the one with more petal layers than any standard rose, which rewards a closer look. Ships gift-ready in protective packaging. Requires nothing after delivery. Holds the full bloom indefinitely.

Is a Jungle Green Tea Rose a good gift for a sister?

A gift for a sister who appreciates something specific is different from a gift for a sister who needs something fast, and the Jungle Green Tea Rose is built for the first category — the color, the form, the petal density all read as genuinely considered rather than grabbed. Ships gift-ready. Arrives protected. Holds the full bloom indefinitely. Nothing to water.

Does a Jungle Green Tea Rose work as dining room decor?

Dining room wall decor at this color depth does something useful — jungle green holds under warm dining light in a way that lighter greens wash out, and the tea rose form is dense enough to read across a table without needing supplemental context. No seasonal rotation, no arrangement required, no material that ages in a way that reads as neglect. Stays correct.

Is a Jungle Tea Rose a good budget-friendly foodie gift?

A gift for a foodie that references their specific relationship with color and considered choices is more interesting than one that references cooking directly — jungle green is the color of a meal you ate somewhere specific and still think about, and the tea rose is the form that rewards the kind of attention a foodie brings to everything. Ships gift-ready. Holds the bloom indefinitely.

What is a gift idea for a sister who loves to cook?

A gift for a sister who loves to cook works when it brings the same sensibility she brings to the kitchen — color that was thought about, form that rewards attention, something that looks like it belongs in a room where everything is considered. The Jungle Green Tea Rose ships gift-ready and holds the full bloom indefinitely without any care on the receiving end. Already handled.

How long does a ceramic tea rose last versus a fresh rose?

A Jungle Green Tea Rose in ceramic lasts indefinitely — no vase, no water, no five-day window. A fresh tea rose gives approximately five to seven days under ideal conditions, and jungle green as a fresh rose color does not exist in any florist at any price point, which is a separate constraint that ceramic does not share. The bloom holds exactly as shaped. No expiration.

Is a ceramic rose a good birthday gift for a sister?

A ceramic rose in jungle green is a birthday gift that reads as having been chosen rather than defaulted to — jungle green is not a color you arrive at without some intention, and the tea rose form has enough petal density that the care taken is visible in the object itself. Ships protected. Arrives ready. Holds the bloom indefinitely. An actual choice.
