Build Your Floral Wall With These:

Designed to cluster naturally, like a wild garden. Choose a flower as your design anchor, then grow your custom floral wall with these companions:

A gift for a girlfriend has to clear a specific bar — thoughtful without trying too hard, permanent without being presumptuous — and the Rose Pink Big Ben Peony clears it by simply being enormous and unbothered. Big Ben does not come in peach or rose in real life, which the tourist board has never once considered, but this peony has a large flower's name and has never once second-guessed the decision. The Primrose steps aside when it enters a room. The Carnation finds somewhere else to be. Only the Ranunculus holds its ground, visibly trying harder than usual. Ceramic, glazed rose pink, hand-shaped, it mounts on a single screw and holds its full, faintly imperial bloom without water, sunlight, or an anniversary to justify itself. One piece belongs to the botanical collection at Brooklyn Botanic Garden, and every piece has come from Chive Ceramics Studio since 2004. Considerably more pleasant than the clock, and it never once needs winding.

How to hang & display

Wall hanging

Works on drywall, plaster, or wood panelling. Drive a small screw at a slight upward angle, leaving the head proud of the wall. Slide the keyhole slot on the back over the screw head, adjust to level. Sits flush — no visible hardware.

No stud? No problem. A drywall anchor rated for the weight works fine.

Displaying a collection

Lay everything out on the floor first. Start with your anchor piece, build outward. Keep 2–3 inches between each piece and aim for the centre of the whole arrangement to land around eye level. Use painter's tape on the wall to map positions before committing to any screws.

Table & shelf display: Equally beautiful propped on a shelf, mantle, or side table. Pair with books, candles, or a small pot.

Scale, Without Apology

Big Ben, the actual clock tower, does not come in rose pink, has never come in rose pink, and the tourist board responsible for London's visual identity has apparently never once considered the possibility. This peony did not wait for permission. It took a large, confident name built for something entirely different and simply wore it, the way certain flowers wear an enormous bloom without seeming to notice how much room they're taking up. Peonies of this size have a way of rearranging a bouquet's internal politics the moment they're added. The Primrose steps aside. The Carnation finds somewhere else to be, usually toward the back, out of the direct light. Only the Ranunculus tends to hold its ground, though visibly working harder than usual to maintain the appearance of equal footing. Rose Pink turns the whole performance up rather than down, landing on a color with real romantic weight behind it, without tipping into anything precious. This is the flower for a specific kind of gift — the one that needs to look considered and slightly extravagant without requiring an explanation attached to the card. It holds that exact bloom permanently, still enormous, still faintly imperial, with absolutely no interest in ever winding down.

In This Collection

The France collection inherited its manners from countryside kitchens that never apologized for a chipped teacup or a crooked shutter — faded rose, sun-bleached poppy, a peony that's seen a few decades. Every piece trades polish for something already lived-in. Big Ben leans into the collection's preference for gestures that don't apologize for their scale, rose pink carrying real confidence. A gentler pink offers a softer scale nearby.

Two Ways to Display

Every Chive ceramic flower works two ways: mounted vertically as a growing gallery wall, or laid flat as a no-water tablescape. Give this one wall space and its oversized rose pink bloom holds a room the way an actual bouquet manages for the first day only. Laid flat across a console instead, that faintly imperial presence becomes a centerpiece nobody waters, still enormous, still unhurried, still unbothered by its own considerable scale, indefinitely, without complaint.

Complete the Look

Something this large deserves a pot that doesn't disappear at shelf level. The Tika Pot in Orange gives an actual plant a warm, unapologetic footprint — not competing with the oversized bloom above, just occupying its own space at surface level with the same unhurried confidence Big Ben has always carried into any room. Take a look at the Tika Orange Pot.

Confidence at Full Size

Chive Ceramics Studio began in 2004 on the conviction that a peony's scale and confidence were genuinely worth keeping for considerably longer than the typical cut-flower arrangement usually permits anyone to actually enjoy them properly. Every piece is still shaped and finished by hand in small batches. A flower bold enough to claim a name like Big Ben should be treated accordingly — no hedging, no modest glaze, no apology whatsoever for the considerable footprint. Rose Pink on a bloom this size is exactly that treatment — permanent, extremely present, faintly imperial, and with nothing dropped on the nightstand afterward that requires anyone's attention at any hour of the morning.

Frequently asked questions

How does a Rose Pink Big Ben Peony hang on the wall?

A girlfriend gift that looks expensive and lasts is a specific and reasonable request, and this peony answers it by being enormous and completely unbothered about impressing anyone. Big Ben doesn't come in rose pink in real life, and this one has never once second-guessed the decision. The Primrose steps aside when it enters a room.

What is a girlfriend gift that looks expensive and lasts?

A ceramic peony is a good Valentine's Day gift for a girlfriend because it skips the part where the bouquet dies exactly four days after February 14th, taking the romantic gesture down with it. This one holds its full, faintly imperial bloom indefinitely, with zero maintenance and considerably more staying power than a dozen roses.

Is a ceramic peony a good Valentine's Day gift for a girlfriend?

A pink peony means romance and prosperity as a gift, and Rose Pink turns that meaning almost theatrical — a large bloom in a large color that has never once apologized for taking up space. The Carnation finds somewhere else to be. Only the Ranunculus holds its ground, visibly trying harder than usual.

What does a pink peony mean as a romantic gift?

Does a rose pink ceramic peony work as romantic bedroom wall decor — yes, mostly because it never needs replacing after the first week the way a real arrangement would, no matter how carefully it was chosen originally. It just stays enormous, faintly imperial, and rose pink, indefinitely, without a single dropped petal on the nightstand.

Does a Rose Pink Big Ben Peony ship in a gift box?

A Rose Pink Big Ben Peony ships in a gift box, ready to give without a florist run first or a card explaining why it's slightly wilted already. It arrives exactly as full and composed as it will hang, no water required before the date even starts, no wrapping to improvise.

Does a rose pink ceramic peony work as romantic bedroom wall decor?

How long does a Rose Pink Peony last versus a Valentine's bouquet is barely worth debating once you've seen how fast the discount grocery-store version gives up. A bouquet peaks for about four days if you're lucky and the delivery truck wasn't too warm. This one peaked once, permanently, the day it left the kiln.

How long does a Rose Pink Peony last versus a Valentine's bouquet?

How does a Rose Pink Big Ben Peony hang on the wall — one screw holds the whole enormous bloom, considerably less effort than convincing an actual peony to open exactly on schedule for a specific date on the calendar. It just goes up and stays exactly that large, forever, without complaint.

Is a ceramic peony a good birthday gift for a girlfriend?

Is a ceramic peony a good birthday gift for a girlfriend — yes, particularly one large enough to make the point without a card explaining it further. Big Ben was never a modest flower to begin with, and this version keeps every bit of that instinct, permanently, with no wilting deadline attached.
