Every piece begins life as a rough color test, then spends months in adjustment before it earns a place in the finished catalog on offer -- most failed attempts quietly discarded and never mentioned again by anyone. Reinventing what a flower fundamentally is was never really the actual goal at any point. The goal was giving familiar shapes a color and a permanence they never got to have naturally, without asking anyone to keep a watering can nearby indefinitely, season after season.
