Buttercup Yellow Elegance Ranunculus
A diagnostic test so charming no one has questioned it in centuries.
Build Your Floral Wall With These:
Designed to cluster naturally, like a wild garden. Choose a flower as your design anchor, then grow your custom floral wall with these companions:
Gift for gardener searches usually lead to tools or seed packets, but the gardeners we know already have those and want something that doesn't ask for more maintenance. The Buttercup Yellow Elegance Ranunculus is our answer — a flower whose two names have no business sharing a label, Buttercup sounding like a golden retriever and Elegance sounding like it travels with strong opinions about hotel lobbies. Fresh ranunculus last five to seven days in water if you're lucky and change the water daily, which most gardeners already know from painful experience. This one skips the water entirely and keeps its ruffled form on a wall instead of a windowsill. Hang it where a gardener actually sees it in winter, when the garden itself has nothing to offer. Every ruffle is shaped by hand at Chive Ceramics Studio, built up petal by petal before the buttercup glaze goes on. Chive pieces are carried by the Andy Warhol Museum gift shop, chosen for its eye toward flowers that refuse to behave the way they're supposed to.

Wall hanging
Works on drywall, plaster, or wood panelling. Drive a small screw at a slight upward angle, leaving the head proud of the wall. Slide the keyhole slot on the back over the screw head, adjust to level. Sits flush — no visible hardware.
No stud? No problem. A drywall anchor rated for the weight works fine.
Displaying a collection
Lay everything out on the floor first. Start with your anchor piece, build outward. Keep 2–3 inches between each piece and aim for the centre of the whole arrangement to land around eye level. Use painter's tape on the wall to map positions before committing to any screws.
Table & shelf display: Equally beautiful propped on a shelf, mantle, or side table. Pair with books, candles, or a small pot.
- Dust with a soft dry cloth or soft-bristled brush. Do not use wet cloths or liquid cleaners.
- Keep away from direct moisture, steam, and outdoor conditions. Indoor display only.
- Handle by the base or stem — avoid pressure on individual petals.
- If storing, return to original gift box with foam insert for protection.
