Latte Lola Echeveria

Lola. The most composed plant in the room.

Regular price $32.15

Lola is a name that implies a certain history. The echeveria form is the most architecturally composed thing in any room it has been placed in. The Latte Lola Echeveria is a ceramic wall succulent, 3.7 inches across, one screw, no water. Latte glaze on a rosette geometry that the living echeveria achieves without visible effort. The composure of the form and the backstory implied by the name have reached an arrangement. It is working against all odds and neither of them is discussing it.

How to hang & display

Wall hanging

Works on drywall, plaster, or wood panelling. Drive a small screw at a slight upward angle, leaving the head proud of the wall. Slide the keyhole slot on the back over the screw head, adjust to level. Sits flush — no visible hardware.

No stud? No problem. A drywall anchor rated for the weight works fine.

Displaying a collection

Lay everything out on the floor first. Start with your anchor piece, build outward. Keep 2–3 inches between each piece and aim for the centre of the whole arrangement to land around eye level. Use painter's tape on the wall to map positions before committing to any screws.

Table & shelf display: Equally beautiful propped on a shelf, mantle, or side table. Pair with books, candles, or a small pot.

Latte ceramic wall art for japandi wall art rooms

We make the Japan Collection for rooms where the neutral on the wall does not mean the room is undecided. The Latte Lola Echeveria is the Japan Collection piece for rooms where latte has been chosen from a position of confidence rather than compromise.

The japandi wall art sensibility -- Japanese restraint meeting Scandinavian warmth -- describes the Latte Lola Echeveria precisely. The latte glaze is warm. The echeveria form is geometrically considered. Both of these things are operating at the same time. Reading nooks, meditation corners, home office spaces where the aesthetic has been thought about: these are where the Latte Lola Echeveria finds the correct context.

Against all odds, they made it work.

Lola is a name that arrives with a backstory already attached. Nobody named Lola has ever had a quiet year. The echeveria, to its credit, is the most architecturally composed thing in any room it has ever been in -- geometric, succulent, completely unbothered. Latte Lola is what happens when the backstory meets the composure and they decide, against all odds, to make it work.

Chive artisan hand-made ceramic flower petal without molds with keyholes for hanging

Ceramic wall flowers in 200+ museums and design institutions worldwide

The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame has carried Chive ceramic flowers, and we find it appropriate that the Latte Lola Echeveria is the Japan Collection piece most often found in that context. Lola is a name that implies a backstory. The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame is a building full of backstories. The echeveria form -- geometric, architecturally precise, entirely unbothered by the names that have been attached to it over the years -- is the Japan Collection piece that takes the most unlikely institutional context and confirms it. Designed in Toronto, made by hand since 1999.

Frequently asked questions

Do ceramic wall flowers need command strips to hang?

One screw only. No adhesive, nothing that peels off when the temperature changes. A single small screw goes into the wall, the keyhole slot on the back of the Latte Lola Echeveria drops onto it, and that is the complete installation. It has been one screw and we see no reason to complicate it.

What does a succulent mean as a gift?

Succulent meaning as a gift centers on endurance, timeless love, and the kind of care that does not require constant attention. The succulent has become the gift-language stand-in for love that is resilient and independent, which the ceramic version extends by removing the maintenance requirement entirely. The Latte Lola Echeveria is the succulent meaning delivered permanently, in latte, on a wall, in a gift box.

Is this a good client gift idea?

Client gift ideas that are specific enough to communicate genuine attention without being so personal as to create awkwardness require an object that occupies a deliberate and considered middle ground. The Latte Lola Echeveria is a wall object in a neutral enough color to work in most spaces and a specific enough form to read as chosen rather than generic. It ships in a Chive gift box. It hangs with one screw. It is on the wall of their office before the next meeting.

What room suits a neutral reading nook wall decor?

Reading nook decor operates in a smaller, more private context than most wall art, and the Latte Lola Echeveria is suited to smaller contexts in a way that some of the more architecturally ambitious pieces in the Japan Collection are not. The latte glaze reads warmly in the conventional light that reading nooks typically operate in.

Does a latte ceramic flower work with japandi wall art?

Japandi wall art combines Japanese restraint with Scandinavian warmth, and the Latte Lola Echeveria operates in exactly this space. The latte glaze is warm -- Scandinavian warmth, the warmth of natural materials and considered interiors. The echeveria form is geometrically precise -- Japanese restraint, the precision of something that has been thought about completely. The combination is the combination.

Is the Latte Lola Echeveria aware that Lola is a name that arrives with a backstory already attached and that the echeveria is the only thing in the room that does not have one?

The Latte Lola Echeveria is aware of this and considers it the central tension of its existence, managed successfully. The backstory in question is not documented -- Lola does not explain herself and we do not ask -- but its presence is legible. Something happened. The echeveria, for its part, is the most geometrically composed and emotionally unencumbered object in any room it occupies. It has no backstory. It has a rosette. These two things have been coexisting since 2020 and the arrangement has been, by all observable measures, functional.

What makes a good last minute gift for her?

Something that does not look last minute. The Latte Lola Echeveria ships in a Chive gift box, arrives ready to give, and goes on the wall immediately. It does not require water, a pot, soil, or any decision about where to keep it until it can be re-gifted. It hangs with one screw and stays there. We have found that the gifts people keep the longest are the ones that went somewhere specific on the day they arrived.

How long does a ceramic wall flower last?

Indefinitely, with no maintenance required. The Latte Lola Echeveria is ceramic -- the glaze is permanent, the form does not change, and it does not respond to seasons, light levels, watering schedules, or the general passage of time. We have flowers from the early 2000s still on the walls of people who bought them when they moved into apartments they have since left, taken the flower with them, and hung it in the next place. Ceramic does not negotiate with time.
