Build Your Floral Wall With These:

Designed to cluster naturally, like a wild garden. Choose a flower as your design anchor, then grow your custom floral wall with these companions:

French country wall art tends to lean on lavender and toile, so the Orange Yellow Paris Daisy offers a warmer, less predictable entry point into that familiar aesthetic. The daisy's simple, sun-shaped bloom is rendered in fine ceramic and finished in a saturated orange-yellow that echoes the color of café awnings more than a formal manicured garden. As a gift for gardener recipients, it rewards someone who already fills every bed and windowsill but has run out of literal room for another living plant. The same warm tone doubles easily as kitchen wall decor, where a cluster of daisies above open shelving adds color without competing with cookware or dishware for attention. Unlike a cut daisy, this one never drops a petal, wilts in a vase, or needs deadheading come August. Monterey Bay Aquarium has presented natural-history and botanical exhibits built on the same appreciation for detailed, accurate form this piece was designed around. It simply stays exactly as bright as the day it arrived.

How to hang & display

Wall hanging

Works on drywall, plaster, or wood panelling. Drive a small screw at a slight upward angle, leaving the head proud of the wall. Slide the keyhole slot on the back over the screw head, adjust to level. Sits flush — no visible hardware.

No stud? No problem. A drywall anchor rated for the weight works fine.

Displaying a collection

Lay everything out on the floor first. Start with your anchor piece, build outward. Keep 2–3 inches between each piece and aim for the centre of the whole arrangement to land around eye level. Use painter's tape on the wall to map positions before committing to any screws.

Table & shelf display: Equally beautiful propped on a shelf, mantle, or side table. Pair with books, candles, or a small pot.

The Simple Shape That Wasn't

The Paris Daisy has one of the simpler bloom structures we work with, which sounds like it should make the ceramic version easier to build — it does not, as it turns out. Simple shapes have nowhere to hide imperfection, so every single petal has to be exactly even in size and angle or the whole flower reads as slightly off-balance. We landed on orange-yellow after testing the daisy in nearly every warm tone in the studio's palette, looking for the one that felt like early evening light rather than a generic sunflower yellow. Each petal is cut and shaped by hand before the center is set and the whole bloom is fired as one connected piece, a process that took several rounds of adjustment to keep the petals from warping unevenly in the kiln's heat. A real daisy droops within a day or two of cutting, its petals curling backward as it slowly dries out on a windowsill; this one holds its flat, open shape indefinitely, season after season, year after year. It works equally well solo on a kitchen wall or clustered with other warm-toned blooms from the collection, never needing deadheading, water changes, or the annual replanting a live daisy demands from a gardener.

Pooley Modern Bud Vase

The France collection inherited its manners from countryside kitchens that never apologized for a chipped teacup or a crooked shutter — faded rose, sun-bleached poppy, a peony that's seen a few decades. Every piece trades polish for something already lived-in. This daisy reads as café-awning warm, not the usual generic sunflower yellow most decor defaults to instead. Something more dramatic and deeply saturated fits right alongside it.

Minute Ceramic Pot and Saucer

Every Chive ceramic flower works two ways: mounted vertically as a growing gallery wall, or laid flat as a no-water tablescape. The Orange Yellow Paris Daisy's simple, sun-shaped bloom reads clearly from across a room, making it one of the easier pieces in the collection to place confidently without overthinking the arrangement. Laid flat on a kitchen counter or windowsill, the daisy's flat, open shape works as a small still-life moment rather than needing an entire wall dedicated to it.

Commit to the Mood

A daisy this bright deserves a pot that isn't afraid of color either, rather than retreating into something safely neutral beside it. The Large Tika Ceramic Pot in Meadowlark Yellow matches the daisy's warm energy directly, committing fully to the same sunny, unapologetic mood on the same windowsill or shelf. Matching, occasionally, is the entire point of a good pairing.

Chive Ceramics Studio, Since 2004

A bloom's best day should never come with a built-in expiration date — that's been the working theory at Chive Ceramics Studio since the doors first opened in 2004. The daisy, for all its apparent simplicity, ranks among the harder shapes to get exactly right in ceramic, since there's no complex layering left standing between a single crooked petal and the finished piece. Simplicity turns out to be its own particular kind of difficulty once nothing else remains there to distract from an error. Every finished order ships looking precisely as it was originally designed to look, with nothing further left for a customer to assemble once it arrives unboxed at home.

Frequently asked questions

How does a Orange Yellow Paris Daisy hang on the wall?

An Orange Yellow Paris Daisy attaches to the wall with a single screw through the built-in keyhole slot, no additional tools required beyond that. The whole process takes under a minute for most people, longer with strong opinions about symmetry involved. A real daisy has never once mounted itself to anything. This one manages just fine.

What is a French country piece that suits modern homes too?

A French country piece that suits modern homes too needs to skip the lavender-and-toile default that dates itself immediately. A bright orange-yellow daisy reads as French country without leaning into anything overly rustic or twee. It works in a farmhouse kitchen and a minimalist one equally well. Versatility, it turns out, ages better than trend.

Is a Paris Daisy a good gift for cutting-flower gardeners?

A Paris Daisy works well as a gift for cutting-flower gardeners who already know exactly how briefly a cut daisy actually lasts once removed from the stem. This version skips that entire disappointment cycle. It stays exactly as bright as the day it arrived, no cutting garden required. Gardeners tend to appreciate the loophole.

Does a Paris Daisy work as warm, sunny kitchen decor?

A Paris Daisy works as warm, sunny kitchen decor because the orange-yellow tone reads as sunlight even in a kitchen with no natural light at all. It doesn't need an actual window nearby to look like it's catching one. Most kitchen decor simply can't pull that off. This one does it effortlessly, permanently.

What ships inside the box with a Orange Yellow Paris Daisy order?

An Orange Yellow Paris Daisy ships with the ceramic piece and wall-mounting hardware, arriving ready to hang with nothing further left to assemble at all. There's no water tube, no floral foam, and no wilting timeline to track anxiously afterward. It's finished exactly as it left the studio. Nothing more to do.

What is a French country piece needing no maintenance?

A French country piece needing no maintenance should skip anything that requires deadheading, pruning, or seasonal replanting entirely from a gardener's yearly schedule. A ceramic daisy delivers the aesthetic without any of the actual gardening labor behind it every season. It just stays exactly as it was made. No upkeep applies.

How long does a Paris Daisy last versus a fresh bouquet?

A Paris Daisy lasts indefinitely, while a fresh daisy bouquet typically wilts and droops within three to five days even with regular water changes. Daisies are cheerful right up until they aren't, which tends to happen faster than anyone plans for. This one skips the decline entirely. It just stays cheerful.

Is a ceramic paris daisy a good French country housewarming gift?

A ceramic Paris Daisy makes a strong French country housewarming gift because it arrives ready to define a room's aesthetic without requiring the new homeowner to do any styling work themselves. Housewarming gifts often become clutter within a year. This one becomes a fixture instead. On the wall, permanently.
