The green dragon specifically carries the advantage of looking like it grew from the forest floor rather than descended from above, a different kind of power, the kind that was present the whole time waiting to be acknowledged. My neighbor Margaret found a ceramic dragon at an estate sale in 1998 and placed it on her front porch and named it Harold. She speaks to Harold when she waters her geraniums.
