Why flowers demand to be displayed in a Chive vase.

Designs So Cute, You’ll Want to Date Them: From sleek modern to quirky fun, Chive vases match any vibe (and probably your mood swings).

Your Flowers Will Thank You: With proper drainage and spacing, Chive vases keep blooms happy. Because, really, they deserve better than a mason jar.

Versatility on Point: Whether it’s a single stem or a full bouquet, there’s a Chive vase for the job—like a Swiss Army knife, but cuter.

Because You’re Not Basic: Chive vases make your floral arrangements look thoughtful, not like a last-minute grocery store grab.

How to Cut Flowers Like a Pro:

A (Mostly) Simple Guide to Cutting Your Flowers

So, you’ve decided to make a floral arrangement. Good for you! Let’s make sure your flowers live long enough to impress someone (even if that someone is just you).

  1. Start with Clean Scissors: Yes, I know you’re tempted to grab those kitchen scissors you use to cut open snack bags, but at least give them a wash first. Your flowers don’t need a side of Dorito dust, thanks.
  2. Cut at a 45-Degree Angle: This isn’t geometry class, but cutting the stems at an angle gives them more surface area to drink up water. It’s like giving your flowers a straw instead of expecting them to chug from a bottle.
  3. Trim Under Water (If You’re Fancy): If you really want to go pro, cut the stems underwater to avoid air bubbles. Sure, it feels a little extra, but your flowers didn’t ask to suffocate.
  4. Ditch the Underwater Leaves: Strip off any leaves that would sit below the waterline. Unless, of course, you’re into the whole swamp aesthetic.
  5. Give Them a Fresh Cut if They’ve Been Sitting Out: If your flowers have been out of water for a while, trim the stems again. They need a fresh start—don’t we all?
  6. Change the Water Regularly: Every couple of days, change the water and give the stems a trim. It’s not that hard, and your flowers will thank you by not dying immediately.

And voilà! You’re now the proud creator of a floral arrangement that might just survive long enough for you to forget to water it. Now go forth and arrange those flowers like the domestic deity you pretend to be on Instagram.

Pro Tip: Keep It Short and Sweet!

When it comes to flower stems, shorter is better. Not only do shorter stems look chic in arrangements, but they also help your blooms last longer. Why? Because the shorter the stem, the less distance water has to travel to keep those petals perky. It’s like giving your flowers a shorter commute—less stress, fewer breakdowns.

The Card Shop at the End of Civility

One might call it a greeting card intervention. The kind where relatives gather around, clutching tissues, saying "Your Hallmark addiction has gone too far." But these aren't your grandmother's greeting cards – unless grandmother enjoyed dropping casual F-bombs between sips of Earl Grey.

Why let your flowers die when they can live forever?

These low-maintenance beauties can hang as wall art or add a pop of color to your tablescape, without ever needing water or sunlight. Perfect for those who want to show they care, but not enough to remember to water real flowers. They also make a perfect gift for someone who appreciates beauty without the commitment—because who has time to keep flowers alive, anyway?

I love these ceramic flower vases!

I love these ceramic flower vases! I grabbed this box of 6 to take flowers to work for Valentine's Day.

Pros:
-The colors are all really nice, there is a second set of 6 that has an orange one instead of a white one as well. They have that "rainbow pearl" paint/finish which adds to how nice they look
-These are thick and durable like ceramic dishware. I accidentally dropped one off a 3 ft counter and it did not break against the hard floor. Also all were packaged well and nothing was broken upon arrival
-Price - Chive sells these for $11 when purchased solo, these 6 boxes definitely save you a lot. This ended up being the cheapest per vase option too.$11 per vase as a single is a little overpriced, but the $24 for 6 box is definitely well priced

Cons:
-The bottoms are not colored/painted and are just a white ceramic. This part is fine but on the bottom it also says "Chive.com". I think they would be better off creating a nice graphic logo. This doesn't really bother me that much since most people wouldn't be looking at the bottom. I'd only consider this an issue if you were trying to put them on a glass/ see through shelf

Love the colors,etc

Wonderful set of six BUD VASES, in a lovely variety of opalescent colors.
I love the glaze type= which is shiny and it has an opalescent sheen to the vases.
The bud vases are a great size---not too small, but not too tall either.
So, it you have a low shelf, these are perfect because once you add the flowers, then the total height wont be too high for a low shelf.

Beautiful for dried flowers...but not ideal for fresh cut flowers

These small vases are beautiful. The colors are pretty and they look sleek and modern. You can easily fit 4 stems into one vase. The only caveat is that I bought the set and 3 out of the 6 vases leaked water - slowly. You could not see an apparent crack, so I am not sure how it seeped out other than that the glaze was not intact. That is unfortunate because I really liked this set (with the white, blue, and grey being my favorite colors). Amazon customer service replaced the set and I was excited about it, but it arrived broken. Now I am really torn on buying a new set. I really like these vases, but they need to be waterproof. For anyone who is looking for vases for dried flowers - I can strongly recommend them. If they fix the issue with water leaking, I would definitely purchase another set.

Unexpectedly sturdy

It's amazing. Smaller than I expected which worked out great for the shelves I wanted to put them on. And they're sturdy too. When hanging up said shelves, I placed three on and the shelf totally fell off the wall, LOL! Two out of the three I hung up survived, so props for that. I would definitely recommend these.

These are gorgeous vases.

These are gorgeous vases. I ordered 2 sets: one for me, one for a friend, as I think they would make a lovely gift. Unfortunately, one of the yellow ones came broken (shattered actually). Hopefully I will be able to get it replaced. I will update if I do.

Beautiful and very pleasing set

Beautiful and very pleasing set. I was able to split up the set into 2 sets of three vases and give each 3-vase set as a gift. They were lovely and all six look beautiful next to each other, they can be used in any combination. Not five stars because: 1) the glass smudges very easily and the smudges do show 2) they are prominently marked with the chive.com stamp on the bottom (note: this is not visible when the vases are in use, only when you flip them over). It shouldn't have annoyed me, but it kind of did, the logo / stamp takes up probably a third of the base of the bottom. I guess it's because I was giving them as a gift and somehow "Chive.com" seems cheaper than if it had been a cute Chive logo or something.
