Build Your Floral Wall With These:

Designed to cluster naturally, like a wild garden. Choose a flower as your design anchor, then grow your custom floral wall with these companions:

Get well soon gift shopping typically ends in one of two places: cut flowers that wilt on the nightstand by Thursday or a greeting card that says everything intended and nothing the recipient will recall next month. Essex offers a third option — seven ceramic flowers in fir, jade, avocado, chartreuse, jungle green, and pewter blue, the sort of gift that arrives looking thoughtful and keeps looking that way long after the casseroles stop appearing. The palette sweeps from deep forest to bright spring chartreuse, seven greens doing what houseplants do minus the guilt when nobody remembers to water them. Crafted individually at Chive Ceramics Studio and sealed with reactive glazes that will never wilt, shed, or need a vase. Carried by the Denver Botanic Gardens, every bloom ships gift-boxed with a keyhole mount, so the person recovering puts seven flowers on a wall and gains something better than a memory of being unwell — a garden that demands nothing in return.

How to hang & display

Wall hanging

Works on drywall, plaster, or wood panelling. Drive a small screw at a slight upward angle, leaving the head proud of the wall. Slide the keyhole slot on the back over the screw head, adjust to level. Sits flush — no visible hardware.

No stud? No problem. A drywall anchor rated for the weight works fine.

Displaying a collection

Lay everything out on the floor first. Start with your anchor piece, build outward. Keep 2–3 inches between each piece and aim for the centre of the whole arrangement to land around eye level. Use painter's tape on the wall to map positions before committing to any screws.

Table & shelf display: Equally beautiful propped on a shelf, mantle, or side table. Pair with books, candles, or a small pot.

London - Ceramic Flower Curated Collection - Chive Ceramics Studio - Ceramic Flower Sets - Chive Ceramics Studio

What flowers are included?

Our design team picked these. It took longer than it should have — someone always has opinions about petal shapes, and at least one person was caught quietly swapping out someone else's color choices. What's below is what made it through. Click any name for dimensions, color detail, and close-ups of the individual piece.

The Story Behind This Collection

Essex is the county northeast of London whose charm is the unpretentious kind — working landscapes, kitchen gardens, hedge-lined lanes where beauty shows up naturally rather than by appointment. We named this collection after it because seven green ceramic flowers carry that same energy: looser and sunnier than the rest of the English Garden line, the relative nobody expects much from who ends up being the most engaging person at the gathering. Fir Green Butterfly Ranunculus opens the set at three and three-quarter inches, intricate enough to photograph well and compact enough to tuck into any layout. Pewter Blue Tubular Coral adds five and a quarter inches of undersea architecture on a wall. Avocado Green Firecracker Succulent and Jade Green Succulent anchor the middle, while Avocado Green Keiko Peony brings a five-inch bloom reading as calm authority. Jade Green English Rose and Jungle Green Pompom Mum close the group with the depth you get when every shade of green in a room holds a slightly different opinion about the same subject. We field-tested the arrangement against a hospital-room wall color sample before finalizing — the palette reads calm under fluorescent light and warmer once someone switches to a bedside lamp. Seven pieces, one county, the kind of wall that triggers the question.

Designed to Share the Same Room

The English Garden Collection

Essex draws its entire green palette from our English Garden collection, the very first range we ever produced and still the broadest — fifty-plus handmade blooms in hedgerow tones, cottage-border colors, and the kind of working English landscape shades that have never once required a nameplate. Explore the English Garden Collection.

The Classic Collection

For bolder color that complements Essex’s all-green palette, our Classic range spans nearly fifty blooms across the warmer end of the spectrum — reds, golds, deep purples, and layered blues in identical handmade ceramic. Designed specifically to mix across collections without friction. Shop the Classic Collection.

Grow Something Real

Ceramic never needs watering — greatest strength, sole honest limitation. For people who want living growth beside the permanent kind, we partnered with Shido Seeds to handle the botanical side. Try Dewflower seeds — a bloom that earns its morning dew the way all worthy things do.

About Chive Studio

Chive Ceramics Studio opened in 2004, and the years since have been spent designing flowers that outlast every other gift in the room. Our catalog now exceeds 180 designs, and the curated sets exist because we recognized that 180 is a Tuesday afternoon for us and a minor crisis for everyone else. People kept requesting that we just pick a few that complement each other, so we obliged. Essex is what emerges when we pick for someone dispatching a get-well gift and hoping the recipient keeps it on the wall long after they have forgotten what brought it there. Fewer open tabs. Same quality. The sort of anxiety reduction that is, in its own modest way, therapeutic.

Frequently asked questions

How many pieces come in the Essex curated set?

Essex contains seven ceramic flower pieces in a spectrum of greens — fir, jade, avocado, chartreuse, jungle, and pewter blue. Every bloom ships inside a branded gift box pre-fitted for wall display. Seven was the count that covered the full green range without doubling a single shade, a calibration that required more trial arrangements than any of us anticipated.

What is a good get well soon gift ceramic flower set?

A meaningful get well soon gift outlasts the recovery itself, and the Essex seven-piece ceramic flower group does precisely that — seven handmade green blooms arriving gift-boxed, mounting on a wall in minutes, and requiring no water, sunlight, or maintenance of any kind. Cut flowers whisper get well. These say get well and keep them permanently. Multiple buyers have told us this set arrived during a hospital stay and remains hanging today.

What colors are in the Essex ceramic flower collection?

Essex’s colors include fir green, jade green, avocado green, chartreuse, jungle green, and pewter blue — every shade a garden produces between April and September, captured in ceramic and finished with reactive glazes that respond to changing light. The range spans deep forest tones to bright spring greens without a single bloom that competes for the spotlight.

How do I arrange the Essex set on my wall?

Position the Jade Green Succulent or Avocado Green Keiko Peony as the center of gravity, then radiate the smaller blooms outward in an organic cluster that avoids geometric precision. Two inches between pieces provides breathing room without visible gaps. One team member once arranged them in a perfect circle; it was beautiful, resembled a botanical clock, and missed the point entirely.

Is the Essex curated collection easy to hang?

Essex installs in roughly ten minutes using seven screws and a standard screwdriver. Every ceramic bloom carries a recessed keyhole that hooks onto a screw head in regular drywall — no toggle bolts, no adhesive pads, no need to recruit a helper. The flat mounting profile means nothing protrudes enough to wobble, which matters when the recipient is hanging these solo from a recovery chair.

What size is the Essex ceramic flower set?

The Firecracker Succulent occupies the narrower end of the Essex range at roughly 3.5 inches wide, while the Tubular Coral and Jade Succulent share top position near 5.25 each. Mounted together the seven span approximately eighteen to twenty-two inches. The scale fits a bedside wall, a reading nook, or any space where greenery belongs but potting soil does not.

Can I buy Essex ceramic flowers individually or only as a set?

Any Essex bloom can be bought on its own, and the Pewter Blue Tubular Coral generates the most standalone interest. All seven were curated as a gradient of greens, however, and the shades were selected to function as a conversation among different voices. Purchasing one piece is absolutely permissible. Purchasing the full group is the resolution we needed a full week to finalize.

What rooms suit the Essex ceramic flower set best?

Essex performs best in bedrooms, guest rooms, and recovery spaces — anywhere a wall of quiet green feels restorative rather than decorative. The palette also translates well to a naturally lit bathroom or a home office that needs something alive-looking on the wall without the obligation of remembering to water it. Green rooms deserve green things on them.
