Build Your Floral Wall With These:

Designed to cluster naturally, like a wild garden. Choose a flower as your design anchor, then grow your custom floral wall with these companions:

Dining room wall art sits through every meal, every long conversation and every argument about whose turn it is to clear the table. Princeton is a set of seven ceramic flowers in peach mocha, orange yellow, oatmeal, latte and moss grey, named after a university town whose stone halls and arched gateways have hosted a great many dinners that ran late. The palette is warm from end to end, with the Peach Mocha Sunflower, Orange Yellow Coreopsis and Orange Fiesta Marigold supplying the color of candlelight, while the Oatmeal Starbrite Water Lily, Latte Lola Echeveria and Latte Daffodil keep things soft and the Moss Grey Oxeye Daisy adds a cooler, grounding note. Shaped by hand at Chive Ceramics Studio, the blooms carry reactive glazes that warm up under low evening light, and each is packed in its own box with the keyhole in place. On a dining room wall, the set gives the table something to look at besides the person who forgot the bread.

How to hang & display

Wall hanging

Works on drywall, plaster, or wood panelling. Drive a small screw at a slight upward angle, leaving the head proud of the wall. Slide the keyhole slot on the back over the screw head, adjust to level. Sits flush — no visible hardware.

No stud? No problem. A drywall anchor rated for the weight works fine.

Displaying a collection

Lay everything out on the floor first. Start with your anchor piece, build outward. Keep 2–3 inches between each piece and aim for the centre of the whole arrangement to land around eye level. Use painter's tape on the wall to map positions before committing to any screws.

Table & shelf display: Equally beautiful propped on a shelf, mantle, or side table. Pair with books, candles, or a small pot.

Oxford - Ceramic Flower Curated Collection - Chive Ceramics Studio - Ceramic Flower Sets - Chive Ceramics Studio

What flowers are included?

Our design team picked these. It took longer than it should have — someone always has opinions about petal shapes, and at least one person was caught quietly swapping out someone else's color choices. What's below is what made it through. Click any name for dimensions, color detail, and close-ups of the individual piece.

The Story Behind This Collection

Princeton is our dining room set, named after a university town that seems to run on long dinners, old portraits and strong opinions about the right way to pass the salt. I have attended exactly one formal dinner with a seating chart. I was placed next to a man who explained wine to me for forty minutes, and I spent most of the evening studying the wall behind him. That wall deserved better company, and so do yours. I remember it more clearly than the man, and far more fondly than anything he said about tannins. Peach Mocha Sunflower and Orange Fiesta Marigold set a warm, candlelit tone. Orange Yellow Coreopsis is the brightest of the group, the color of a good marmalade at breakfast. Oatmeal Starbrite Water Lily, Latte Lola Echeveria and Latte Daffodil are the creams and coffees, the colors of a table after a long meal. Moss Grey Oxeye Daisy keeps the warmth from tipping over, the way a cool glass of water interrupts a rich dessert. Together they suit a room where people linger over coffee long after the plates are cleared. If someone starts explaining wine, at least the guest across the table will have something nice to look at.

Designed to Share the Same Room

The Japan Collection

Princeton's latte browns, oatmeal and moss grey share the earthy restraint of our Japan range, a collection built around quiet neutrals and natural tones made for a candlelit, dark academia dining room. Both are made the same way in our studio. Browse the Japan Collection.

The Classic Collection

If you want to turn the warmth up further, the Classic range runs from deep reds to bright golds and nearly everything between. It pairs easily with Princeton when a larger dining room wall needs more than seven blooms. Start with the golds, which flatter candlelight. Explore the Classic Collection.

Grow Something Real

The Peach Mocha Sunflower will hold its color indefinitely. A real one lasts a single summer, though it makes the most of it, often growing taller than the people at the table. Try Sunflower seeds and grow a few for cutting. Ceramic for the wall, fresh flowers for the vase.

About Chive Studio

Chive's studio has made ceramic flowers since 2004, and dining rooms have always been one of our favorite places to see them hung. It is the room where people sit still long enough to notice what is on the walls. Curated sets came about because customers wanted us to choose the combinations, and a dining room is where those combinations get studied most closely, usually between courses. Princeton is built around warm tones: sunflower, marigold and coreopsis softened with creams, latte browns and a single moss grey daisy. The blooms are shaped by hand at Chive Ceramics Studio and packed in their own boxes, hardware ready. Hang it across from the head of the table, and it will hold its own through dessert.

Frequently asked questions

How many pieces come in the Princeton curated set?

The Princeton curated set contains seven ceramic flowers: a sunflower, a coreopsis, a water lily, a marigold, an echeveria, an oxeye daisy and a daffodil. They come packed one to a box, each with a keyhole fitted for hanging. Seven gave us room for both the bright oranges and the soft creams. Six left the table feeling a guest short.

What is a good dining room wall art ceramic flower set?

For dining room wall art, the test is close and repeated viewing, and Princeton's warm sunflower, marigold and latte tones were chosen for exactly that. Ceramic does not fade near a sunny window or mind the occasional splash. Diners look at the walls far more than hosts realize, usually right after someone raises a difficult subject over dessert.

What colors are in the Princeton ceramic flower collection?

The Princeton ceramic flower collection is made up of peach mocha, orange yellow, orange, oatmeal, latte and moss grey. The reactive glazes deepen under warm evening light, so the oranges look richer at dinner than at lunch. It is a palette designed for candlelight and long tables. The moss grey daisy is there to keep everyone calm.

How do I arrange the Princeton set on my wall?

When you arrange the Princeton set in a dining room, center it on the table rather than the wall, so the flowers line up with where people sit. Start with the Orange Yellow Coreopsis in the middle and spread the latte and oatmeal pieces around it. Leave a little space above any sideboard. Serving platters deserve their own spotlight.

Is the Princeton curated collection easy to hang?

The Princeton curated collection is easy to hang, because each flower hangs from a single screw through the keyhole molded into its back. Bring a pencil, seven screws and someone to stand back and say left a bit. That last role is always the most popular. Everyone has an opinion in a dining room.

How do I care for the Princeton ceramic flowers?

The Princeton ceramic flowers need nothing more than an occasional wipe. Being colorfast and waterproof, they shrug off a stray splash of wine or sauce with one wipe. Nor will they wilt between dinner parties. That makes them the only decoration in the room that never needs replacing the morning after.

Can I buy the Princeton flowers individually or as a set?

Each Princeton flower has a product page of its own, so yes, you can buy them one at a time. The seven were chosen together, though, to balance bright oranges against quiet creams. Buying only the sunflower is a bit like hosting a dinner with just dessert. Delightful for a while, but something feels missing.

What rooms suit the Princeton ceramic flower set best?

The Princeton ceramic flower set suits dining rooms, breakfast nooks and kitchens with a table, any room where people gather to eat and talk. In a living room with wood floors and leather furniture, the warm palette holds up just as well. It does best in rooms where conversations run long. The flowers make an excellent listener.
